Microeconomics
The syllabus consists of the chapters 1-8, 10-15, 19-28, 30-31 of the course text Microeconomics: People are Different by John D Hey. There will be no questions on chapters 9, 16, 17, 18, 29, 32, 33 and 34 in the exams.
This course is particularly important because it provides the foundation for all the other
courses at LUISS. The course text, Microeconomics: People are Different by
John D Hey
was published in 2003 by McGraw-Hill
(ISBN13: 9780077103644, ISBN10: 0077103645, 600pp £14.99).
You can buy
a copy at Amazon.
However, I have just (on the 14th of September 2009)
discovered to my horror that the book at McGraw-Hill went out
of print in December 2008 and they never told me. Last year's students may have copies. I have e-mailed them and I have two copies which I can sell
to you at 20 euros, the price I paid them.
Because of the fact that McGraw-Hill are going to charge an exhorbitant price to print off
extra copies, I have decided to put the book on the site. I am exploring the legal situation.
In the meantime, if you speak Italian, you can always buy the Italian version of the text:
Microeconomia: People are Different
John D Hey e
Carmelo Petraglia, (isbn 88-548-0999-4, 688 pag., 32,00 euro),
which was published on the 18th of March 2007 by Aracne Editrice.
In the first edition there was not an index.
There were also a number of misprints.
In the second edition there are three misprints.
