Career Guidance
The Career Service, through its Career Guidance services, provides students and graduates with valuable support in defining their career path, offering them the tools they need to successfully enter the world of work.
This pathway consists of:
- One-to-one meetings
- Career Workshops
- Tools for job hunting and effective applications.
One-to-one meetings
One-to-one appointments are individual meetings with the Career Service team. They allow you to identify an action plan that aligns with your career aspirations, and they highlight both the skills and knowledge you already possess and those you need to develop.
The meetings focus on:
- Review of your CV and cover letter: Check & Review | CV/Cover Letter;
- Tips for tackling a job interview: Tips & Advice | Interview Training;
- Exploring the various career paths by sector: Career Guidance (Business, Legal, IOs, and PA).
Book an appointment with a Career Service advisor
You can book an online or in-person interview via the Appointments section of the Career Centre platform.
Advisor availability is updated weekly and can be viewed directly on the platform. You can choose the day, time, and meeting format that best suit your needs.
In-person meetings take place at the Career Service offices: Via Tommaso Salvini 2, Rome.
Career Workshop
Career Workshops are training sessions led by HR experts and professionals from relevant sectors. By taking part in the Career Workshops, you can learn about the skills employers value most, and gain a better understanding of market sectors and recruitment processes.
Students will be able to take part in:
- CV Clinic, to create a professional CV that showcases your experience and highlights your strengths;
- Get Ready for a Job Interview, to get useful tips on how to excel in a job interview;
- Get Ready for Programmes & Careers, to learn more about requirements, the selection process, career paths, special programmes, and key deadlines (e.g., Spring Weeks and Summer Internships for the Schuman Investment Banking sector and Blue Book for the European Institutions).
To view the calendar of scheduled workshops, we suggest keeping a close eye on the Events section of the Career Centre platform.
Tools for effective job searching and applications
When taking your first steps into the world of work, a well-crafted CV can make all the difference between being rejected and moving on to the next selection stage.
In the My Career section, you can view and download templates for writing an HR-approved CV, as well as documents to help you learn more about market sectors and selection processes.
