Luiss Debates is a series of meetings where scholars meet and discuss with experts and professionals.
Following Intelligenza artificiale. Una sfida etica on February 25th, this meeting is dedicated to the topic of "Expert Leadership".
We are accustomed to seeing charismatic general managers, rather than core-business experts, occupy leadership positions. Amanda H. Goodall argues instead that organizations perform better when led by individuals with core business talent (expert knowledge), who know best how to create the optimal work environment to enable others to flourish through motivation, consultation, appropriate assessment and support. However, being a core business expert does not necessarily mean having good leadership and management skills.
Emma Marcegaglia and Alessandro Profumo are among Italy’s most accomplished executives. They will share their experiences as leaders and bring different insights into the discussion.
Sergio Fabbrini will add valuable remarks, leading the debate to a close with an analysis of leadership from the perspective of a political scientist.
