Organized by the Department of Economics and Finance, this three-day event will bring together the most recent advances in the mathematical, economic and computer science sides of the field known as "fair division theory".
In the workshop, the CREA project will be presented. This is an action funded by the European Union Justice program (grant JUST-766463) to apply the most recent results in fair division theory to help solve legal problems into family law (heredity, divorce) or company law (liquidation of companies).
The first day, is a tutorial entitled "Appeal and challenges of competitive approach to fair resource allocation" with the teachers Vasilis Gkatzelis of Drexel University and Fedor Sandomirski of HSE Saint Petersburg, Russia. This tutorial is aimed at researchers and students in the areas of Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics. Law researchers with a mathematical background may also join.
Days two and three will be dedicated to a workshop and informal roundtable.
