Valentina Rita Scotti holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Public Law (University of Siena). Between 2011 and 2016 worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Political Science of LUISS, where she also served as an adjuct lecturer in Comparative Public Law and History and Institutions of Muslim Countries. Between 2016 and 2021 worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Koç University School of Law in Istanbul. Since 2021, she is Associate Professor in Comparative Public Law at the European Law and Governance School. The evolutions of the Turkish legal system and of Muslim Mediterranean Countries are her main field of interest; she also researches and publishes on gender legal issues. Valentina Rita Scotti speaks English, French and Turkish and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
