Vincenzo Emanuele is Associate Professor of Political Science at Luiss, Rome. He is member of CISE (Italian Center for Electoral Studies) and ITANES (Italian National Election Studies). His research focuses on elections, cleavages, and party system change and adopts mainly a comparative historical perspective with quantitative data. His research has appeared on EJPR, CPS, PoP, WEP, Party Politics, SESP, G&O, and CEP. He has published Cleavages, institutions, and competition. Understanding vote nationalisation in Western Europe (1965–2015) with Rowman & Littlefield/ECPR Press and The deinstitutionalization of Western European party systems with Palgrave Macmillan. He is currently PI of the 2022 PRIN project 'NEWCOMING' (New Conflicts' Mapping in the Age of Globalization).
