"Merit-Based" Loan - Intesa Sanpaolo
Per Merito is a loan designed to help students finance the costs of their undergraduate and postgraduate studies, and it involves setting up a line of credit. No collateral or personal guarantees are required – such as a parent's signature. There is also the option to activate a bridging period when the line of credit is repaid, before starting to repay the debt, as well as the option to take out a dedicated loan with favourable terms for repaying the debt.
To obtain the loan, the student must open a "per Merito" current account, to which the credit facility will be granted.
Per Merito helps you cover university tuition fees, the cost of educational materials, accommodation expenses, and everything else you need to pursue your studies with peace of mind.
Students enrolled on the University's undergraduate degree courses, PhD programmes, and Master's courses are eligible for the loan.
Study Fund - Consap
The Fund for Credit to Young People, known as the Student Loan Fund, offers the most deserving young people an opportunity to access bank credit, enabling them to pursue their education independently and, subsequently, to enter the world of work.
The Student Loan Fund, promoted by the Minister for Sport and Youth and funded through the Department for Youth Policies and Universal National Service, is managed by Consap, which assesses whether applicants meet the eligibility criteria for accessing the Fund.
The lenders are responsible for assessing creditworthiness and for disbursing the loan.
The Student Loan Fund makes it easier for deserving students to access credit through a state-guaranteed loan. Eligible students are aged between 18 and 40 and are properly enrolled on a Bachelor's, Master's, or postgraduate specialisation course, having achieved a good result in their previous qualification. Alternatively, they may be enrolled on a PhD programme, a language course, or a course at an Istituto Tecnologico Superiore (ITS Academy). To access the Student Loan Fund, students must enter their personal and academic details directly on the MyConsap portal so that their eligibility for the requirements set out in the regulations can be assessed.
