SAT – Scholastic Assessment Test
The SAT is one of the world's most widely used standardised tests. Conducted in English, it is employed by universities – particularly in the United States and at many international institutions – to assess students' general preparedness and academic skills.
Administered by the US-based College Board, the exam assesses the critical thinking skills, reading comprehension, and mathematical abilities needed to succeed in university studies. In its current digital format, the test comprises two key sections: Reading and Writing, and Maths.
In November, online information sessions will be held for students and their families to explain the structure of the test, how to take part, and to offer some useful tips for anyone interested in sitting it.
