ERC and MSCA recruitment

ERC and MSCA recruitment

One of Luiss's strategic goals is to attract talented researchers to further enhance its reputation and results. To achieve this goal, Luiss promotes specific recruitment initiatives to attract top international talent from around the world—namely, researchers at various career stages who have secured ERC funding or a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship and have chosen Luiss as their host institution.

Direct call for ERC grant winners

Luiss invites the winners of ERC grants – Starting, Consolidator, and Advanced who are Principal Investigators (PIs) to express their interest in transferring their research projects to our university.

Luiss will decide whether to directly appoint* candidates to fill positions as full professors, associate professors, and type b) fixed-term researchers, provided they have an active research project for at least three years upon its completion.

The evaluation of applications will be based on how well the researcher's profile aligns with the University's areas of scientific interest and on meeting specific excellence requirements.

If you are interested in transferring your ERC research project to Luiss, you can contact the Research Office at the following address: ricerca@luiss.it

*Direct recruitment will follow the ministerial procedure outlined in Ministerial Decree No. 963/2015 (pursuant to Article 1, paragraph 9 of Law 230/2005).

Direct call for MSCA grant winners

Luiss invites interested researchers to choose our University as a “host institution” for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Postdoctoral Fellowships.

The European Commission’s program funds researcher mobility both within and beyond Europe (EU member states and Horizon Europe associated countries). The main objective is specifically to support the return and (re)integration of European researchers who are currently based outside of Europe. Applicants are asked to choose a host institution in a country other than the one where they reside at the time of application.

The evaluation of applications to select Luiss as a “host institution” will be based on how well the researcher's profile aligns with the University's areas of scientific interest and on meeting specific excellence requirements. Based on these same criteria, Luiss will decide whether to offer fellowship winners a permanent position through direct appointment* at the end of the three-year period.

If you are a promising researcher looking to choose Luiss as your host institution for the fellowship, you can contact the Research Office at the following address: ricerca@luiss.it

*Direct recruitment will follow the ministerial procedure outlined in Ministerial Decree No. 963/2015 (pursuant to Article 1, paragraph 9 of Law 230/2005).
