Alfonso Giordano, a political and economic geographer, has over 25 years of experience as a university professor, research coordinator, and scientific consultant, working with academia, think tanks, media, civil society, and international stakeholders. His research interests range from population geography to political demography, environmental geography to human security, and spatial diffusion of innovation to exogeography. In the past, he has held positions as Head of International Relations at the Italian Geographical Society, Counsellor for Scientific Research, Universities and International Relations at the Chamber of Deputies, Research Associate at the Institute of European Studies in Brussels and Counsellor for Internationalisation of Research at Tor Vergata University.
