Andrea Montanino is Chief Economist and Director for Strategies and Impact Assessment at Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. His main areas of interest are geoeconomics, public finance and industrial economy. He held a number of senior international positions: Executive Director and board member of the International Monetary Fund, Director of the economic program of the Atlantic Council, senior economist at the European Commission. In Italy, he has been Director General at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, senior economist at the Prime Minister’s Office, Chief Economist of Confindustria, Chairman of Fondo Italiano d’Investimento, Vice Chairman MedioCredito Centrale. He holds a PhD in Economics from La Sapienza University and a Master degree from the London School of Economics.
