Instructional goals

Learn the basic knowledge of web law and be able to transfer them into specific projects

Intended learning outcomes

Knowledge of the relevant legislation and case law in the field of web law. Ability to develop a project work through the use of technological tools and applications. Ability to communicate in effective, clear and persuasive contents learned through the acquisition of a method of exposure and synthesis of studied topics. Ability to use languages and tools adapted to technological evolution.

Course Contents

The course will take place through a continuous development of project work by students on the following topics, of which the teacher will highlight the most relevant regulatory and case law profiles. Fundamental principles of web law. The rights on the net. Hate speech. Fake news. The new media. Privacy and right to be forgotten. Political parties online. Digital administration. Transparency and participation on line

Lectures and team work supported by the teacher

Assessment Method

Two intermediate tests and presentation of the final project work. The first intermediate test (weight 30%) consists of a quiz on the topics covered in the first part of the course. The second intermediate test (weight 40%) consists in the presentation of the first part of the project work by the students. The final test (weight 30%) consists in the presentation of the full project work by the students
