Rita Carisano graduated in economics from Luiss University and completed her education abroad.
After gaining experience in consulting, she joined Confindustria (Confederation of Italian Industry), where in 2001 she became Director of Membership Marketing.
She has held various university positions as Adjunct Professor of political economy and international economics at the University of Bari and at LUMSA in Rome and has been a member of the Evaluation Unit of the University of Verona. She has also taught at the Tax Police School of the Revenue Police.
From 2006 to 2024 she was Managing Director of Confindustria Verona.
She is currently Managing Director of Luiss University.
She is also a member of the board of directors of FASI - Fondo Assistenza Sanitaria Integrativa.
She is a Commendatore of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
