Compliance and strategy in the banking sector: the Call for Papers for the international conference is now open.

There is time until 15 October 2026 to submit a paper for the second edition of the Compliance and Strategy in International Banking Conference, which will be held in Rome on 10 and 11 December 2026 and is dedicated this year to the theme “Transition, Innovation, and Regulation in the European Banking System”.

The Call for Papers invites researchers to submit original, unpublished contributions on the transformations currently affecting the European banking system, with a particular focus on regulation and supervision, new business models, governance and risk management, the climate transition, digitalisation, artificial intelligence, FinTech, and operational resilience. Interdisciplinary approaches that can integrate economic, legal, managerial, and technological perspectives are encouraged.

You can submit a working paper or an extended abstract, anonymously, via the dedicated platform. The papers will undergo peer review, and the authors of the selected papers will be invited to present them at the conference.

CASMEF – Luiss Guido Carli is one of the universities promoting the initiative, alongside the other universities involved in the project.

The conference will therefore provide a forum for academic research and the banking sector to discuss the challenges that are reshaping Europe's financial industry.
