Davide Motta: representing Luiss at the Swift Student Challenge
Recent graduate Davide Motta began his studies at Luiss with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Management, then pursued a Master's Degree in Corporate Finance and participated in the Erasmus program at the University of Zagreb.
“It was the first year of this new Erasmus program, and I went because I wanted to be a pioneer. It was a challenge for me, especially from a personal standpoint,” says Davide.
The memory that the Luiss graduate cherishes most is precisely that of being accepted into the Erasmus program during his master's degree.
“Studying abroad helped me engage with different cultures, and that came in very handy during the SWIFT Student Challenge,” says Davide, who represented Luiss as the sole Italian university participating in this competition focused on artificial intelligence applied to finance. The recent graduate got acquainted with the world of AI through ERSLab, and with his knowledge of payment circuit systems, he was eager to take on the challenge. “At first, I thought these kinds of experiences were reserved for professors or professionals. In fact, participating as a student and speaker in one of the most important events in the field of finance was incredibly exciting.”
He advises students who want to pursue a similar career to “take full advantage of all the curricular and extracurricular opportunities the university offers and broaden their knowledge across the board.”
Davide currently works at KPMG in Luxembourg, where he hopes to stay for at least the first part of his career. “I don't want to stop as long as I have the strength and positivity to keep going.”
