Luiss and Confindustria Imprese Estere join forces for the International Business course

Luiss and Confindustria Imprese Estere are launching a new collaboration as part of the International Business course.

This programme is designed for students on the Master's degree course in Global Management and Politics, with the aim of strengthening dialogue between universities and businesses by complementing theoretical education with real-world insights and experiences from the business world.

International Business: the course topics

The programme will explore the key topics of international business: internationalisation strategies, entering foreign markets, the organisation of multinational companies, global value chains, sustainability, leadership, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.

The course will be led by Antonio Majocchi, Professor of International Business and Luiss Vice-Rector for Internationalisation, and by Anna Ruocco, Senior Adviser for Foreign Investment and Director of the Observatory on Foreign Companies.

The contribution of multinational companies

CEOs and senior executives from major multinational companies operating in Italy will be directly involved, bringing case studies and experiences related to management, investment, and growth into the classroom. Participating companies include Accenture, Birra Peroni, Dumarey Automotive Italia, Electrolux, Ericsson, Nestlé, Siemens, and Veolia.

Barbara Cimmino, Confindustria's Vice President with responsibility for Exports and Attracting Foreign Investment, will also be taking part as a lecturer.

The course will include lectures, business case studies, group work, presentations, and a project based on real-world challenges. The initiative aims to develop managerial skills, analytical abilities, independent judgement, and the practical application of knowledge, bringing students closer to the real-world dynamics of the international economy.
