Luiss: ranked 1st among the major non-state universities in the Censis ranking for the third year running
Once again this year, Luiss Guido Carli has been confirmed as the best large non-state university in Italy. This is confirmed by the annual Censis ranking, which analyses the national academic landscape and is now in its twenty-sixth edition.
With an overall average score of 95.8 points, the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali has secured the top spot for the third year running among non-state universities with over 10,000 enrolled students. This achievement consolidates a strategy firmly focused on excellence, supporting merit, and fostering innovation across the five main areas considered by this national ranking: services, scholarships and grants, facilities, communication and digital services, and internationalisation.
The university was rewarded with a full score (110/110) for scholarships and grants, as well as excellent ratings for its facilities (+2 points compared to the previous year), which were significantly higher than the average for the other universities assessed. There has also been an extraordinary surge in the area of communication and digital services, which has risen by a significant 9 points compared to last year (108 vs 99).
The President of Luiss, Giorgio Fossa, commented: "This result, which sees us firmly on the top step of the podium for the third year running, rewards a strategy that puts the student at the centre. Indeed, the quality of our teaching demands state-of-the-art facilities and advanced digital services – areas in which we will continue to invest to build on our successes. This positioning is also reflected beyond Italy's borders, confirming our growing appeal on the international stage. Finally, the highly positive assessment of our scholarships makes us particularly proud and confirms our commitment to supporting merit and nurturing young talent.”
