Luiss soars to 14th place globally for Political and International Studies
Luiss has joined the elite group of the world’s top 15 universities in Political and International Studies, as recognized by the prestigious QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023, which honors the best institutions of higher education in individual subject areas.
The university named after Guido Carli continues its ascent in this ranking, reaching the top 50 globally in both “Business and Management” and “Law,” where it ranks 46th (2nd in Italy) and 47th, respectively, having climbed over 30 positions in a year.
Significant investments in research and teaching, along with a growing focus on internationalization, have enabled Luiss to solidify its global reputation. This is evidenced by the fact that it is the only Italian university to rank in the top 50 across three subject areas.
Since first entering this prestigious ranking in 2016, Luiss has climbed over 300 positions. The QS ranking is based on indicators related to academic reputation and the reputation of graduates as assessed by leading employers.
“It is with great satisfaction that we announce that Luiss continues its ascent toward the top positions in the authoritative QS International Ranking. This result confirms our university’s accelerated development and consolidation of its strategic plan initiatives, which are in line with its mission to shape cosmopolitan, responsible, and aware leaders,”said Luiss Rector Andrea Prencipe. He added, “ An internationally renowned faculty of senior and junior researchers, an innovative educational model that aims to stimulate students with new approaches to learning, and a virtuous connection with the worlds of business, the professions, and public administration are the elements that enable Luiss to be increasingly recognized as a university of international prestige. ”
The University’s internationalization process continues through agreements with over 315 partner universities in 64 countries. These include 58 agreements ranging from dual degrees to structured partnerships, with more than 50% of courses offered in English. Over the past three years, there has been a 93% increase in the enrollment of Luiss students with foreign citizenship, who are thus joining a network of over 54,000 alumni worldwide.
With this result, unique in Italy, Luiss is solidifying its internationalization process during the period when registration for the master's degree entrance exam is open (until April 3).
