Luiss welcomes new students

On Monday 7 September, in the Mario Arcelli Aula Magna on the Luiss Campus in Viale Romania, the Welcome Ceremony for First-Year Students will bring Luiss Freshers’ Week 2026 to a close. This week of activities and meetings, dedicated to the University’s new students, will mark the start of classes.

The focus of the event will be on the changes reshaping society, future challenges, and the opportunities Luiss offers to address and help shape them. The first-year students will be welcomed by Luiss President Giorgia Fossa, Rector Paolo Boccardelli, and Director General Rita Carisano. Special guests include the President of the FIGC, Giovanni Malagò, and Luiss Top Athletes Eloisa Coiro, Filippo Macchi, Lucrezia Ruggiero, and Alice Volpi.

During the ceremony, awards will also be presented for outstanding theses by the university’s graduates. The awards will be presented by Antonio Gullo, Dean of the Undergraduate School; Enzo Peruffo, Dean of the Graduate School; and Elisa Zambito Marsala, Head of Education Ecosystem and Global Value Programmes at Intesa Sanpaolo. The event will be moderated by Alessandro Antinelli, a journalist from Rai Sport.
