Nando Pagnoncelli is the new President of the Luiss School of Government
The Luiss Board of Directors has appointed Nando Pagnoncelli as the new President of the Luiss School of Government, the university’s postgraduate school specializing in advanced political education and policy-making.
As the president of Ipsos Italia, one of the leading public opinion experts nationwide, Pagnoncelli has led over 2,500 surveys published by the media, more than 1,800 electoral and citizen satisfaction studies, and over 500 corporate reputation studies. He is the author of numerous essays and publications, collaborates with newspapers and television programs, and is active in university education and the third sector. In 2021, he received the ASSIRM Lifetime Achievement Award, and in 2023, he was appointed Commendatore della Repubblica.
“I am honored to take on the presidency of the Luiss School of Government at a time when the need to train a new class of public and private decision-makers—people capable of interpreting the ongoing changes in the relationship between citizens and institutions—is more pressing than ever,” said Nando Pagnoncelli. “I'm delighted to offer my experience to the School to help bolster its role on the national and international stage.”
As President, he will work alongside Dean Gaetano Quagliariello to bolster the School’s commitment to interdisciplinary and internationally focused education.
Among the priorities is the expansion of Luiss to Milan through the launch of new master’s programs in the Lombardy capital. This will include the start of an intensive course to prepare students for a career in diplomacy as early as next fall.
