Rome, Wednesday, June 16 – The Board of Directors of Luiss Guido Carli, chaired by Vincenzo Boccia, has confirmed Professor Andrea Prencipe as the University’s Rector for the 2021–2024 term. The Board of Directors of the university, which was founded by Confindustria, then appointed the new vice-rectors, two advisors, and the new director of the Department of Economics and Finance.
“I am proud of the top-tier team that will be by my side for the next three years,” said Rector Prencipe. “A team of young faculty who will work alongside highly experienced colleagues. They bring diverse academic backgrounds, which are essential for successfully addressing the challenges our University faces: internationalization, research, new learning models, and digital transformation. Our goal is to ensure our students and graduates receive a high-quality education and benefit from an ever-expanding global network.”
The new team of Vice Rectors includes:
- Professor Simona Romani, Full Professor of Economics and Business Management, appointed Vice Rector for Teaching with responsibility for Master's Degrees;
- Professor Antonio Gullo, Full Professor of Criminal Law, appointed Vice Rector for Teaching with responsibility for Bachelor's and single-cycle Master's degrees and the coordination of postgraduate programs;
- Professor Stefano Manzocchi, Full Professor of Political Economy, appointed Vice Rector for Research;
- Professor Luca Giustiniano, Full Professor of Business Organization, Vice Rector for Organization and Faculty;
- Professor Raffaele Marchetti, Full Professor of Political Science, Vice Rector for Internationalization;
- Professor Francesco Di Ciommo, Full Professor of Private Law, Vice Rector for Alumni Relations.
Rector Andrea Prencipe has also appointed two advisors for diversity, inclusion, and digital transformation:
- Prof. Emiliana De Blasio, Senior Researcher in the Sociology of Cultural and Communication Processes, for diversity and inclusion issues;
- Prof. Irene Finocchi, Full Professor of Information Processing Systems and new director of the Bachelor's Degree program in Management and Computer Science, for digital transformation.
Finally, the Board of Directors appointed Prof. Paolo Santucci De Magistris, Full Professor of Econometrics, as the new Director of the Department of Economics and Finance.
