Rita Carisano appointed General Director of Luiss

The Board of Directors of Luiss Guido Carli University, chaired by Luigi Gubitosi, has appointed Rita Carisano as the University’s General Director.

Dr. Carisano, currently the General Director of Confindustria Verona, graduated with honors in Economics and Business from Luiss in 1984 and furthered her studies in Industrial Economics at the London School of Economics. She joined Confindustria in 1986, first in the Small Industry Division, where she took on increasing responsibilities. Since 2001, she has held the position of Director of Associative Marketing. In 2006, she was called to the Venetian city to lead the growth of the Piazza Cittadella Association, which today boasts over 1,700 companies and 80,000 employees in the province. She has authored publications in the field of economics and has held various university teaching positions.
