Rita Carisano appointed General Director of Luiss
The Board of Directors of Luiss Guido Carli University, chaired by Luigi Gubitosi, has appointed Rita Carisano as the University’s General Director.
Dr. Carisano, currently the General Director of Confindustria Verona, graduated with honors in Economics and Business from Luiss in 1984 and furthered her studies in industrial economics at the London School of Economics. She joined Confindustria in 1986, first in the Small Industry Division, where her responsibilities grew, and then, since 2001, as Director of Association Marketing. In 2006, she was called to the Venetian city to lead the growth of the Piazza Cittadella Association, which today boasts over 1,700 companies and 80,000 employees in the province. She has authored publications in the field of economics and has held various university teaching positions.
Luigi Gubitosi stated: “The appointment of Rita Carisano as Luiss’s General Director strengthens the university’s governance and bolsters the managerial expertise of our team. Her professional experience, which also includes senior positions within the Confindustria association, provides significant added value to help achieve the challenging objectives of the new strategic plan. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, I extend my best wishes to Rita for her work.”
