TEDxLuiss | ReCharge
TEDxLuiss | ReCharge
TEDxLuiss is back with a new digital event called “Recharge,” featuring nine speakers (including a Luiss student) from around the world. Gathered in the Mario Arcelli Aula Magna on the Luiss Campus in Viale Pola and streaming live on Cisco Webex, the speakers created a multifaceted narrative centered on the themes of rebirth and the ability to reinvent oneself.
More than a year after the pandemic began, it’s time to try to bring order back to our words and the projects we want to accomplish. The concept of vulnerability that we’ve experienced must shed its destructive power and become a unique opportunity for each of us to take action.
The fourth edition of TEDxLuiss was made possible through partnerships with Cisco Italia and WINDTRE.
“The fourth edition of TEDxLuiss is coming to our university, bringing the disruptive power of ideas from nine speakers who will take the stage in the Aula Magna on the Viale Pola campus on Saturday. *Recharge: sustainability is unsustainable*. This is the slogan for TEDxLuiss 2021. We are already in the midst of change. Our task, then, is not to halt it, but to shift priorities and be the positive force that keeps pushing us toward a better future. Change isn’t a fire that suddenly breaks out and is gradually tamed; rather, it’s an exponential process that can trigger a virtuous cycle of actions and reactions,” said Giovanni Lo Storto, General Director of Luiss Guido Carli University.
“This event looks to the future with a positive outlook that Cisco shares. Technology plays a crucial role in fostering inclusivity and creating new opportunities and services. With this in mind, we're ready to support the ideas and efforts aimed at overcoming the challenges that change presents. We're delighted to contribute to TEDxLuiss with our collaboration solutions,” said Gianmatteo Manghi, CEO of Cisco Italia.
Rossella Gangi, Director of Human Resources at WINDTRE, concludes: “WINDTRE supports TEDxLuiss 2021, a key opportunity to share innovative ideas that will inspire the world of tomorrow. We feel particularly drawn to this edition's key theme, Recharge. “In this delicate phase we’re going through,” the manager explains, “we all need to regain energy and momentum for the future, to build a new normal based on responsibility, trust, and inclusion, where each of us courageously takes action to make a difference.”
“Recharge” shares stories and ideas that deserve to be heard, featuring speakers from diverse backgrounds who take the stage to envision a fresh start. From institutions to sports, art to medicine, entrepreneurship to education and politics, a mix of talents has been chosen for their courage and determination in facing change, alongside thinkers and experts known for their commitment and expertise.
Coordinating the event are two exceptional hosts: comedians Edoardo Ferrario and Luca Ravenna.
