The program provides a solid preparation for all those students who aspire to a career in international law.

The program aims at recruiting ambitious and motivated students, offering them the chance to learn in an exciting academic environment, dedicated to preparing students to enter and continue in the legal profession with the highest level of skill possible. 

The program is a tuition-paying program.

In addition to tuition fees at Luiss, students participating in this program will also pay tuition fees to Temple University with a 50% discount, hence the final tuition for Luiss students for 2026-2027 is $18.000. For selected Luiss students, the $50 application fee is waived.

The Call for Application is published on Early December 2025 and students will be able to apply starting from 8 January 2026. Who can apply

Students enrolled in the fourth year of the single-cycle Master's program in Law. According to their major, fourth-year students can apply for:

• LL.M. for Foreign-Trained Lawyers open to students majoring in Diritto Penale, Diritto Societario e Tributario, Diritto ed Economia delle Imprese, Diritto Civile, Diritto Amministrativo.

Every year 5 students can participate in this program.

Requirements

• Weighted average grade equal to or above 27/30
• Credits: at least 180 ECTS
• English language:
  • TOEFL: min. 88 IBT
  • TOEFL Home Edition
  • IELTS indicator
  • IELTS: min. 6.5 with no individual score below 6.0. (online test accepted)
  • Duolingo English Test: 115

The language certificates must not be older than two years from the start of the mobility (August/September 2026). Applicants must meet the requirements using a single test. 

Luiss will select a shortlist of candidates based on a non-disputable evaluation of the academic profile and the motivation of the student. An Academic Commission nominated by the Dean of the Department of Law will select students on the basis of a non-disputable evaluation.

Results will be communicated to Temple University which reserves the right to make the final choice.
