Foreign academic qualifications

If you hold a qualification from a foreign education system, you must attach the school reports for the last two years of upper secondary school, issued by the school you attended, to your application for admission. The school reports must include:

  • the grades, along with the corresponding academic years
  • the total number of years of schooling
  • the final qualification you will obtain
  • the school's official stamp

The school reports must be in Italian, English, or French.
If you have obtained, or are going to obtain, the IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate), you must instead attach the school reports for the last three years.

To check whether your diploma is valid for admission to Italian universities, please consult the requirements for international qualifications, which are set out each year based on the criteria established by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR).
