FAQs for Incoming Students

Welcome to Luiss University, where academic excellence meets the vibrant spirit of Rome. Join our international community, learn from renowned faculty, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

The International Student Mobility Office is your main point of contact during your exchange experience at Luiss. We support incoming exchange students—whether through Erasmus+ or a bilateral agreement—at every stage of their mobility: from the application process to your arrival in Rome and throughout your stay.

In the menu on your left, you'll find everything you need to prepare for your time at Luiss, including how to apply, academic calendars, course selection, housing options, and arrival guidelines. Our team is here to ensure your academic and personal experience at Luiss is smooth, enriching, and fully supported.

For incoming students interested in attending Luiss as Free Movers (visiting/fee-paying students) outside of an exchange program, the Admission Office manages the application and enrollment process. You can find detailed information and submit your application for individual courses through their official page.

The International Student Mobility Office handles the negotiation and formalization of Erasmus+ and bilateral agreements for credit mobility (see the full list of partners here). Each year, Luiss signs a limited number of new agreements with carefully selected universities, chosen based on strict quality criteria such as the compatibility of academic programs, university rankings, and the student services offered.

All our work is grounded in the principles of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), which ensures transparency, fairness, and quality in recognizing and transferring academic credits earned abroad. This system supports the full integration of international study experiences within the Luiss degree framework, ensuring that learning outcomes and workload are consistently evaluated.

Our office actively promotes international mobility as a core value of the Luiss academic experience and works closely with partner institutions to ensure high-quality, reciprocal exchanges.
