Luiss’s internationalization is built on a network of over 360 partner universities and connections with universities, institutions, and businesses worldwide. Each year, this ecosystem fosters a wide range of international mobility opportunities for our students, faculty, researchers, and staff, and helps create a truly international experience.
With over 50% of courses taught in English and a student body representing more than 100 nationalities, intercultural exchange is an integral part of daily life on campus.
Events featuring international leaders from the economic, political, and social sectors, coupled with a vibrant academic life, further enrich the university experience, providing students with the tools to develop an open mind and excellent intercultural skills. Living on our campus means immersing yourself in a dialogue without borders and preparing to lead change in an increasingly interconnected world.

The numbers that illustrate our international vision
While the network of partnerships with foreign universities continues to grow, Luiss is now also increasingly committed to enhancing their quality and depth by developing structured, long-term collaborations. At the same time, the network of “ambassadors” around the world—represented by the Alumni—is growing.
We work closely with over 360 partner universities across 77 countries. We collaborate with these partners to develop research projects and initiatives on an international scale. Our international network is also the cornerstone of an educational experience that broadens our students' academic and professional perspectives, preparing them to work in a globalized world.
Each year, around 2,000 Luiss students take part in international mobility programs. The offering includes double and triple degree programs, international exchanges through the Erasmus+ Program and to locations outside Europe, the Free Mover program, and other academic initiatives with partners abroad. These opportunities allow students to develop strong intercultural skills, enhance their adaptability, and gain an international perspective—key elements for successfully navigating the global job market.
Each year, a significant number of Luiss faculty and visiting professors from foreign universities participate in mobility programs to and from our university, engaging in research, teaching, seminars, and networking. This exchange allows Luiss to be at the forefront of social research worldwide. This enables Luiss faculty to actively participate in collaborative networks that enhance the quality of research and teaching, thereby fostering innovation in the educational offerings.
At Luiss, we are actively engaged in international and inter-university cooperation, fostering global networks for academic, scientific, and institutional collaboration. This commitment also flourishes thanks to the contributions of research centers, individual faculty, and administrative offices dedicated to building structured partnerships with universities, international organizations, diplomatic institutions, and humanitarian actors. Luiss and ENGAGE.EU – a global network of alliances for international opportunities
Since 2020, Luiss has been a member of ENGAGE.EU, a European alliance of 10 of the most recognized universities in the fields of economics, business, and social sciences.
This collaboration strengthens the university’s international dimension, expanding opportunities for mobility, cooperation, and academic development across Europe.
Through ENGAGE.EU, Luiss is part of a dynamic ecosystem that fosters innovation in teaching, collaborative research, and ongoing dialogue among academic communities. The Alliance supports the design of joint educational programs, new international opportunities for students, and impact-oriented interdisciplinary initiatives.
