Community Garden
Since 2014, the garden has been a space open to students, teachers, staff, local associations and schools, and neurodiverse individuals. Its aim is to foster social interaction and serve as a place where collaborations and initiatives flourish, and where nature, well-being, sustainability, and learning coexist.
By working in the garden, people of all ages, with different backgrounds and characteristics, rediscover the value of connecting with nature, reconnect with natural food, and discover a functional lifestyle in harmony with the environment.
Interaction in the garden provides unique opportunities for collaboration and “cross-pollination”, creating a participatory community model that benefits both individuals and the environment.
The produce from the garden is distributed among those who care for the space, who are therefore involved in the entire cycle of growing the plants and producing the produce, from planting to harvesting. For all participants, the harvest is a significant and formative moment, encapsulating the care and commitment shown throughout the year and restoring a sense of the natural, seasonal cycle of the crops.
