The Luiss Language Café is an innovative space, a place for meeting and exchanging ideas that adds to campus life. It serves as a real hub for students, offering them opportunities for discussion, conversation, and relaxation in an international and informal setting.
The Café fosters student creativity by placing them at the heart of their educational journey. This is achieved through innovative teaching based on the concept of learning by doing, in an interactive, multidisciplinary, and stimulating environment where language use supports the creation of content and projects.
The Café promotes a wide range of activities and events:
- tandem conversations between Italian and international students, organized by the Erasmus Student Network Roma L.U. association;
- lectures on current issues such as international security, diplomacy, climate change, and healthy eating;
- thematic lectures—also available via streaming—given by leading international experts such as Jared Diamond;
- film forums and debates in English, Arabic, French, Russian, and Spanish;
- interactive workshops led by Luiss graduates who have already had successful careers;
- concerts, music lessons, jam sessions, and digital music productions;
- peer-to-peer lessons;
- photo clubs and exhibitions;
- poetry and prose readings.
Also available: over 1,000 books in their original language; a dedicated area for reading leading international newspapers and magazines; and three workstations equipped with iMacs for research, job interviews, and creating and enjoying videos and podcasts in various languages.
The Café also promotes its activities on Facebook and Instagram.
