Luiss Library: your hub for research and study

Connecting knowledge and guiding the digital transformation.

We inhabit a space with a unique cultural value. Located at Via di Santa Costanza 53 – a stone’s throw from the famous Mausoleum built by the daughter of Emperor Constantine I – our Library combines the prestige of Rome’s historical heritage with modern, state-of-the-art study spaces.

The premises offer approximately 2,000 square metres of multifunctional, sustainable, and inclusive space, with Wi-Fi coverage throughout. They also feature a tactile paving pathway and tactile maps to ensure maximum accessibility. The spaces, with over 300 study stations, are organised to meet every need:

  • 5 rooms: Monographs, Periodicals, Economics, Law, and Political Science.
  • 3 rooms for group work: bookable spaces for collaborative activities.
  • Luiss University Press Readers' Lounge: a dedicated area for publications and new releases from the university’s publishing house.
  • Outdoor areas: a garden and courtyard with well-equipped reading spots and a refreshment area.

The Library rooms are equipped with computer workstations, scanners, tablets, interactive whiteboards, self-checkout stations, and a video magnifier with speech synthesis and text recognition features. In addition, there are two automated boxes for returning Library loans on the Luiss campuses in Viale Romania and Via Parenzo.

At Luiss, knowledge is dynamic, open, and accessible. Our Library collection spans all scientific and disciplinary fields of the University's teaching and research, with an integrated catalogue of printed books and journals, complemented by a vast collection of e-bookse-journals, and specialised databases.

Through our institutional archives, we preserve and make the University’s scientific output accessible, thereby amplifying its impact, visibility, and dissemination.

Guidance and support for literature searches, loans, interlibrary services, inclusion services, and dedicated rooms for group work.

Textbooks, paper resources, and electronic resources are available on-site and remotely.

Access to the Library’s spaces and services is reserved exclusively for the Luiss Community: students, faculty and technical-administrative staff; Luiss Alumni Network by appointment.
