Storytelling and Comics, 2015–2016 academic year
A course to learn how to create comics, distill concepts into drawings, and become a storyteller.
The course consists of five sessions, held from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Aula Blu (308 C) at the Viale Romania campus.

Storytelling Lessons

- October 13, 2015: Fundamentals of storytelling and its application across various forms of creative expression; tools for analyzing and learning storytelling techniques; elements of a successful story; methods for generating and structuring a narrative.
Telling stories through images: an introduction to the language of comics
Matteo Simonacci - International School of Comics
- 10/20/2015: Types of framing, fields, and planes; the direction of reading.
- 10/27/2015: Framing as a communication tool.
- 11/03/2015: Time and rhythm.
- 11/10/2015: Character acting.
The course concludes with the creation of a short, two-panel story.
LUISS students who already have a solid foundation can submit their application, along with a representative number of works, to attivitaculturali@luiss.it by September 30, 2015, for the participant selection process.
