Preventive medicine

Among the initiatives implemented by Luiss for the well-being of its students is the FREE PREVENTIVE MEDICINE SERVICE. This service aims to assess students’ health through a series of clinical tests performed at the following center, which has an agreement with the University:

You can use the service free of charge once per calendar year by going directly to the laboratory.

The free service includes:

  • the following testscomplete blood count with differential, blood urea nitrogen, blood glucose, urinalysis, ESR, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, blood uric acid, serum iron, sodium, potassium, total protein, AST, ALT, creatinine, total and fractionated bilirubin, gamma-GT, TSH, and ferritin (for female students only). Please arrive in the morning on an empty stomach and provide a urine sample in a sterile container.
  • a resting electrocardiogram, which can also be scheduled by calling the phone numbers listed above;
  • Upon requestthe following tests can also be performed: HIV antibodies and a Pap test or a vaginal swab with an antibiogram.

 

Any additional tests not listed above can be requested directly from the testing centers before the sample is taken, at Luiss-affiliated rates.

You can view your reports online, or they can be sent to the email address you provided when you registered.

At the Medical Consultation and Guidance Hub, located at Viale Romania 32, the General Consultation service is available to interpret the results of the tests performed.
