Start Cup Lazio 2026: the Luiss Deskk team advances to the final stage of the Business Plan Competition

The Luiss Deskk student team is among the finalist projects of the 12th edition of the Start Cup Lazio, the regional Business Plan Competition that supports the creation of innovative startups and spin-offs developed in the universities and research institutions of Lazio. The competition, divided into three successive phases, supports the teams of researchers and students in the development of their business idea up to the definition of the business plan and the final, from which the projects that will advance to the National Innovation Award (PNI) will be selected.

Luiss's journey in the Start Cup Lazio 2026

In the previous Validation phase of the business idea, Luiss had four projects admitted: one presented by a team of researchers, in the Life Sciences – Med Tech category, “Oncologo.it”, and three in the ICT field, developed by teams of students: “Deskk”, “Janent”, and “NoShame”. With the transition to the final phase, Deskk now continues its journey in the competition.

Deskk's Business Idea for the hospitality sector

The Business Idea proposed by Deskk uses autonomous artificial intelligence agents to improve the operational efficiency of the hotel sector, interacting with the management software already used by the accommodation facilities. The platform automates repetitive administrative and operational tasks – from managing communications to sales processes – allowing staff to devote more time to services with greater added value for guests.

The innovative element of the idea lies in the use of artificial intelligence not only as a decision support tool, but as an autonomous operational agent, capable of directly executing workflows within the systems already adopted by hotels. By integrating with the existing digital infrastructure, the solution reduces barriers to AI adoption, helping to increase productivity, service quality, and responsiveness to industry needs.
