Luiss for Companies
"Luiss isn't just a place where companies meet talent; it's an ecosystem where they help shape it."
Employability is a structural responsibility within the Luiss educational model.
That's why our relationship with companies, institutions, and organizations goes beyond recruiting. It extends to designing our teaching methods, shaping educational experiences, conducting applied research, and developing the skills that the market will demand in the coming years.
The goal is not just to produce employable graduates, but professionals who can make an impact in complex, international, and increasingly AI-augmented environments.
An educational model that today trains the professionals the market will seek tomorrow
At Luiss, employability is woven into the very fabric of the educational experience. The educational model combines academic rigor, experiential learning, an international focus, and ongoing connections with businesses and institutions. The goal is to train professionals who can interpret complex contexts, make decisions, and turn analysis and vision into action.
For companies, this translates into a tangible advantage: hiring one of our graduates means investing in a professional who has already tackled real-world problems, faced business challenges similar to those in their future work environment, and developed a responsible, action-oriented way of thinking.
Programs that listen to the market and stay one step ahead of it
Luiss continually updates its degree programs in response to signals from the job market, partner companies, global trends, and the university's own research. We don't wait for the market to evolve: we anticipate the direction of change and design our educational offerings accordingly. In a professional landscape increasingly augmented by AI, Luiss combines AI literacy, critical thinking, and responsible decision-making into a single educational program. The goal is not just to train students who can use new technologies and artificial intelligence, but to prepare professionals who can apply them with awareness, judgment, and the ability to take action.
Here are a few recent examples. Starting in the 2024/25 academic year, AI Literacy is mandatory for master’s students, proactively addressing the demand for digital skills and equipping them with the necessary expertise to apply artificial intelligence tools. The AI, Data & Decision Sciences Department and the AI4Society Center were established well ahead of the adoption curve among Italian companies.
The same applies to sustainability, geopolitics as it relates to business models, and managing the complexity of international regulations—topics that companies are grappling with today and that Luiss incorporated into its curricula years in advance.
At the same time, the University continues to emphasize the value of the humanities in developing critical thinking, interpretive skills, and an interdisciplinary approach—skills that are increasingly valued by organizations.
