Water Resilience Observatory

Centre of affiliation:

“Franco Fontana” Research Centre for Strategic Change

The Observatory on Water Resilience, initiated in collaboration with ACEA S.p.A., aims to analyse the transition towards water resilience models through an integrated approach, linking supply chain data, European strategic guidelines, and industry models. The research programme will explore ACEA's role in this transformation in depth, highlighting its contribution to the development of a scalable, measurable, and relevant water resilience model, including within the European context.

The Observatory serves as the central platform for joint research activities between Luiss and ACEA, fostering studies on water system governance, the structure and evolution of the supply chain, value creation mechanisms, innovation, sector regulation, and comparisons with key international experiences.

Activities include defining the research's methodological framework, conducting national and international analyses and benchmarks, producing annual reports, working papers, and scientific publications, as well as organising workshops, round tables, and institutional events for industry stakeholders. Through these initiatives, the Observatory aims to foster dialogue between research, institutions, and businesses, contributing to the development of knowledge and tools that support the transition towards more resilient and sustainable water resource management.
