It comprises seven Departments: Accounting and Corporate FinanceAI, Data and Decision Sciences, Business and Economic Law, Law and Institutions, Economics and Financial MarketsBusiness & Management, and Political Science. These Departments oversee research. There are also two Schools responsible for teaching: the Undergraduate School and the Graduate School. Additionally, three Schools provide postgraduate education: Luiss Business SchoolLuiss School of Government, and Luiss School of Law.

Governing bodies, managers, employees, collaborators, faculty, students, and stakeholders all contribute, within their respective roles and responsibilities, to research and teaching activities. This fosters the advancement of knowledge, the development of leadership, and the preparation of individuals for life and work.

To this end, in pursuing its institutional objectives, it is committed to ensuring the quality of its processes and results, and meeting the needs of students and stakeholders in general. In keeping with its vision, mission, principles, and values, and in line with the strategic directions outlined in its Statute and Strategic Plan, Luiss has decided to define and adopt a Quality Policy that aligns with the principles promoted by the European University Association and set out in the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG2015). This policy extends to encompass the areas of Research and the Third Mission, as explicitly provided for by the AVA System (Self-Assessment, Assessment, and Accreditation of the Italian University System) established by ANVUR.

The University’s quality policy outlines the principles and an integrated system of mechanisms and procedures that guide activities towards achieving the quality objectives, and it represents the practices that must be adopted to achieve them. The Quality Committee is responsible for verifying that this policy is implemented and that the mechanisms and procedures for the quality assurance system are carried out properly and correctly. Meanwhile, the Evaluation Unit is tasked with monitoring the system’s operation to ensure it is applied correctly and effectively, and with evaluating the results achieved and the actions taken.
