Luiss for Businesses and Institutions

Luiss for Businesses and Institutions

We build relationships with businesses, institutions, and organizations to develop skills, research, and opportunities through an ongoing dialogue between academia and society.

An ecosystem of relationships between universities, businesses, and institutions

Relationships with businesses and institutions are a structural component of the Luiss model.

Since its inception, the University has maintained an ongoing dialogue with the business community, in part through its connection with Confindustria. Over time, it has built a network of relationships that includes companies, public institutions, organizations, and professional communities.

Through ongoing dialogue with the business community and the institutional landscape, we forge connections that drive the University’s growth, the evolution of our educational offerings, and the generation of applied knowledge.

Companies are not external stakeholders; they are an active part of the Luiss ecosystem. They help develop skills, collaborate on research, and contribute to building educational experiences that respond to today’s economic, technological, and social changes. This integrated approach is one of the hallmarks of the Luiss model.

Institutions and policy

We collaborate with national and international public institutions, local administrations, and government bodies on issues related to public policy, governance, and regional development. These collaborations contribute to the production of knowledge, the analysis of major economic and social transformations, and the development of solutions and policies for the future of regions and communities.

The role of companies within the Luiss ecosystem

We partner with companies and organizations to bridge the gap between education and the job market, creating opportunities for students and graduates to meet, exchange ideas, and find employment.

Luiss programs are developed in close connection with the professional world, helping to build skills that are immediately applicable in today's markets.

One year after graduation, the employment rate for Luiss graduates reaches 95%, while 70% of those employed had already received a job offer before graduation.

Ongoing dialogue with businesses, institutions, and alumni helps shape our educational offerings, guiding the development of courses, content, and activities to align with the changes occurring in organizations, markets, and professions.

By listening to the business world and engaging with national and international partners, we ensure our teaching remains relevant to today’s economic, technological, and social changes.

Among the aspects students value most are the quality of teaching, the university’s prestige among companies, and the value of the Luiss network.

Businesses and institutions take part in research projects and initiatives, including through commissioned work and interdisciplinary collaborations, thereby contributing to the generation of applied knowledge.

The relationships forged by the University foster dialogue among academic research, organizations, and the production sector, promoting activities that interpret economic, regulatory, and technological transformations.

In recent years, the increase in research grants and contracts confirms the strengthening of Luiss's collaborations with public and private partners. In 2024, grants and research contracts from private entities reached 8.6 million euros, an 83% increase compared to three years earlier.

The connection with the business world also grows through the Alumni network, which maintains an active relationship with the university and contributes to the ongoing dialogue between the university, organizations, and the production system.

The Alumni community represents a stable connection between education, professions, and the development of skills over time, contributing to the building of relationships that continue even beyond the university experience.

The strength of this bond is also reflected in how graduates rate their university experience: 91% would choose Luiss again for their studies.
