Mom's House

La Casa della Mamma Onlus is an association that provides support for young mothers facing social and economic challenges, along with their children. Since 1969, it has been helping them and preparing them for life. The educators, social workers, psychologists, and qualified volunteers at Casa della Mamma recreate the emotional warmth of a family, enhanced by specialized expertise. Their goal is to nurture in each young woman that deep, yet responsible love that we increasingly notice is strikingly absent when they first arrive.

After an initial training period on managing the home, which will be arranged in consultation with the partner, the young people will participate with a weekly shift of at least 4 hours for the 20 weeks of the two semesters. The activities will focus on providing support and assistance to the educators, primarily in relation to the mothers staying at the Home.

CLEANING AND HOUSEHOLD SERVICES  

• Gardening activities
• Cleaning of common areas, both indoors and outdoors
• Laundry and ironing
• Grocery service

CREATIVE WORKSHOP

• Crafting items and handmade creations
• Theater workshop

TRAINING SUPPORT

• Educational tutoring for resident mothers

The type of activities and how they are carried out will be agreed upon with the partner, taking into account the needs and availability of the Association and the volunteers. To earn the credits, you must have participated in the activities for every week of both the first semester (starting in October) and the second semester, with a maximum of four missed sessions.

The maximum number of students is 6.
