Highlights

This Double Degree with the University of Mannheim is an exciting two-year program taught entirely in English, aimed at students who plan to enroll in the Luiss Master's program in Management or in Strategic Management and its major in English.

If compliant with both Luiss and Mannheim academic requirements, students will obtain the Master’s in Management (M.Sc.) from the University of Mannheim and the Master’s Degree in Management or Strategic Management, issued by Luiss.

The program is structured as follows:

• the first year is carried out at University of Mannheim (Mannheim, Germany).
• the second year is carried out at Luiss University (Rome, Italy).

Students selected for the Double Degree will be registered at Luiss during their time at Mannheim and will pay tuition fees at Luiss. Students will be exempted from paying tuition fees at Mannheim. If compliant with both universities’ rules and conditions regarding credits, attendance, deadlines, academic integrity etc., participating students will receive two degrees, which will be released according to each university’s procedures.

Application process

Details regarding the application procedure, the selection process, deadlines, and further information will be included in the updated Call for Applications. To get further information about the required documents for the application, students are invited to contact International Degree Programs before the application deadline.

Who can apply

Students enrolled in the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree in the academic year 2025/2026, or graduates in a Bachelor’s Degree who are interested in enrolling in the master's program in Management and Strategic Management (English tracks only).

Only applications from students enrolled or graduates in Economics, Finance, Business, Marketing or Management will be accepted.

Every year a total of 5 students can take part in the program.

Requirements

Candidates for this program should meet the following requirements:

1. Completion of an Undergraduate Program in the field of Business, Economics, Management, Finance or Marketing
2. Credits: at least 136 ECTS by the deadline indicated in the Call for Application 
3. Weighted average grade of at least 27,50/30 by the deadline indicated in the Call for Application 
4. A C1 English level (CEFR), certified by one of the following qualifications:
    

• TOEFL min. 91/120 IBT
• IELTS min. 7.0
• Cambridge: CPE, CAE, FCE min. grade A
• Duolingo min. 130
• Accademica linguistica Trinity School di Roma
• Luiss University Language Center
• International Secondary School Diploma totally taught in English
• Bachelor’s Degree totally taught in English.
   

Note on selection and admission procedures

All Double Degree candidates are required to comply with the selection procedures and guidelines indicated in the Graduates Admission website. Please ensure to identify the specific regulations that apply to your status as an applicant (e.g. international student/graduate/Luiss student). In case of admission, all students are required to comply with enrolment regulations and deadlines required for each program.
Please consider that the admission procedures for the Luiss Master's Degree and the selection procedure for the present Double Degree are separate processes. The positive outcome of the Luiss admission procedure does not automatically involve a positive outcome in the selection procedure for the DD. Should the DD selection outcome not be positive, the student will remain registered to the Luiss Master's Degree Course of admission. 
 

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be ranked based on their academic performance score, which is calculated according to the following criteria:

Students will be selected by April 2026, and they must enroll in one of the two Master's Degrees acording to the timeline and rules from the Admissions Office.

While every effort will be made to provide students with complete, accurate and timely information, Luiss reserves the right to change, amend, modify or revoke the aforementioned program.
Luiss is not responsible for any cancellation or modification due to events beyond its control. If the program is cancelled or modified for these reasons, Luiss will inform all interested students in a timely manner.
