Employability at Luiss

95% employed one year after graduation | 1 month to find their first job | 70% receive an offer before graduation | 12% of graduates work abroad

Employability is a structural responsibility within our educational model

"We don't just prepare students to enter the world of work. We train the professionals the market needs."

At our university, employability is woven into the learning journey from day one. It’s not a service that kicks in at the end of your studies, but a fundamental part of your education.

Through an ecosystem that connects teaching, businesses, institutions, and international networks, students develop technical skills, transferable abilities, and professional experience right from the start of their university journey.

The result is tangible and measurable: 95% of our graduates find employment within a year of graduating, and a third receive a job offer before even defending their thesis.

The bond between Luiss and Confindustria is an integral part of the University’s identity, resulting in an ongoing relationship with companies, managers, and organisations active in the country’s main economic sectors.

This ongoing dialogue allows our students to engage with real-world dynamics, challenges, and decision-making processes right from their time at university. On the other hand, executive managers and entrepreneurs come into our classrooms not just as guests, but as co-creators of the educational experience.

The network of partner companies

The Luiss Career Service collaborates with a well-established network of national and international companies, institutions, and organisations. Together, they contribute to the professional growth of students, creating tangible opportunities for them to engage with the world of work.

It’s not just a network of employers; it’s an ecosystem of relationships that makes employability at Luiss a tangible, ongoing experience. Through strategic partnerships, companies take part in key initiatives for recruiting, employer branding, networking, and career guidance, meeting students at events like the Career Fair, Recruiting Day, Company Presentations, and other dedicated initiatives.

These collaborations allow students to learn about different professional environments, connect with recruiters, managers, and professionals, gain awareness of the skills required by the market, and build meaningful relationships for their professional future.

A training model focused on student employability

The Luiss educational model combines quantitative skills, transferable abilities, and experiential learning into a single educational pathway focused on professional impact.

Technical skills (Hard Skills)

Luiss programmes combine the rigour of the social sciences with quantitative skills, AI literacy, data analysis, and an understanding of key economic, geopolitical, and organisational trends. The curricula are continuously updated in response to emerging trends: digital transformation, ESG, managing geopolitical complexity, and governance of global organisations.

Advisory Boards made up of managers and executives help shape the programmes, ensuring that what is studied in the classroom matches the market's current needs and anticipates its future demands.

In an AI-augmented labour market, value depends not only on the ability to use digital tools, but also on the quality of judgement, decision-making responsibility, and the capacity to turn analysis and knowledge into action.

At Luiss, we train professionals with skills that no algorithm can replace: judgement, responsibility, collaboration in complex contexts, and the ability to translate analysis into concrete action. These are complemented by the contribution of the humanities, which strengthen critical thinking, the ability to interpret, and an understanding of the social, economic, and cultural dynamics that influence decisions.

AI is the working environment for our graduates, not the goal of their education. The aim is to train people who can navigate, make decisions, and lead in that environment.

That's why at Luiss, artificial intelligence is integrated into the learning journey as a cross-cutting tool, supporting new ways of learning, collaborating, and solving complex problems, without replacing critical thinking.

Soft Skills

Students practise and develop their soft skills – communication, leadership, and collaboration – through dedicated workshops, simulations, real-world business case studies, and an approach that combines learning by doing with engaged learning. Students are actively engaged in experiences that connect them with organisations, professionals, and real-world contexts, allowing them to develop skills that are immediately transferable to the workplace.
