Instructions for new proposals
If a Summer School of interest to a student is not on the list of pre-approved courses, the student may request its recognition, provided that all the requirements outlined in the Regulations are met.
The student is responsible for independently finding the foreign institution, the course of interest, and all the information required for recognition. They must also handle all administrative matters with the foreign university, from enrollment to the issuance of the final certificate.
To do this, you must email the relevant study area delegate, with a copy to the International Student Mobility Office (riconoscimentosummerschool@luiss.it), the appropriate form, correctly completed in full, by June 15, 2026.
After reviewing the request, the delegate will notify the student and the International Student Mobility Office of their decision. If the request is not approved, the student may submit a new request for recognition. All approved courses are added to the designated “pre-approved” course lists, making them accessible to all students.

Upon completing the Summer School and by October 31, 2026, the student must fill out the following form, specifying the course taken abroad:
Request for Recognition of a 2026 Summer School Abroad
If a student takes a course that isn't on the pre-approved list or for which recognition wasn't requested by June 15, 2026, no exams will be recognized.
When filling out your study plan on the self-service website, you should indicate “Elective Abroad” for the course taken at the Summer School, without having to select a specific Luiss elective course.
Students are required to promptly notify any changes to course titles via email.
Students will be responsible for all expenses related to this type of mobility.
Upon request to the email address riconoscimentosummerschool@luiss.it, students can receive reports from students who attended a Summer School abroad in previous years.
