Certified selection process for non-EU applicants for admission to master's degree courses

Find out about the requirements, selection procedures, and certifications needed for admission to Master's degree courses for non-EU/non-Schengen students.

Admissions 2027/2028

The selection process with certifications is aimed at candidates from outside the EU or the Schengen area who are interested in Master’s degree programmes, with the exception of the Master’s degree programmes in Finance and Management.

Details regarding how to apply, the requirements, the necessary certifications, and the selection schedule for the 2027/2028 academic year will be published in the relevant admission notice, which will be available from November 2026.

Admission requirements

You can apply for admission if:

  • you are a national of a country outside the European Union;
  • you have completed or are about to complete a Bachelor's degree (Italian or foreign) that allows you to enrol in a Master's degree in Italy;
  • you hold one of the following international certifications:
    • GMAT with a minimum score of 515 (out of 805);
    • GRE with a minimum score of 154 (out of 170) in the Quantitative and Verbal sections.

If you hold a foreign qualification, enrolment is subject to verification of its validity by the Luiss Admissions Office.

You must check the validity of your qualification in advance, as well as any procedures required to obtain a study visa.

How to submit your application

You must submit your application by filling out the online form available on this page, ensuring you meet the deadlines specified in the Admission Notice.

To take part in the selection process, you must pay a mandatory, non-refundable participation fee of €150.

During the application process, you must:

  • attach the GMAT or GRE certificate with the corresponding score;
  • authorise Luiss to receive the official score via the certifying body's platform:

You can attach the unofficial test score when submitting your application. The admission notice outlines the procedures and deadlines for uploading the unofficial score and submitting the official score.

Please note: there are two separate forms – one for EU/Schengen applicants and one for non-EU/non-Schengen applicants. Before paying the participation fee, make sure you select the correct category.

You can request changes to your application or the chosen degree programme within the timeframes specified in the Admission Notice by writing to ammissione@luiss.it.

Assessment method

The Commission reviews the applications and decides whether to admit candidates based on their score, taking into account the number of places available for each degree programme.

If you are admitted, please refer to the communication you received from the University to complete the enrollment process according to the specified methods and deadlines.

  • Identity document/passport showing citizenship.
  • Certificate of enrollment or degree with a transcript of records.
  • A valid, official GMAT or GRE certificate.

For foreign qualifications, enrolment is subject to the Admission Office verifying the qualification’s eligibility. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure its validity and to comply with any procedures relating to a student visa.

Yes. You can request changes to your application within the timeframe specified in the Admission Notice by emailing ammissione@luiss.it. Once this deadline has passed, the application can no longer be modified.

The one-off annual fee is €16,000 for the first year and €18,000 for the Bachelor’s degree programmes in Management and Finance.
