At the Luiss Graduate School, we consider employability an integral part of our educational model. We support students before they start, throughout their studies, and even after they graduate, turning every learning experience into an opportunity for personal and professional growth and for developing their employability.
Employability Journey: the 5 stages of the process
The Employability Journey is the model through which the Luiss Graduate School integrates academic training, skills development, career guidance, and exposure to the world of work.
It comprises five stages that guide master's students from orientation through to the start of their careers, offering learning experiences, networking opportunities, and chances for professional growth.
The Employability Journey begins even before classes start. Through orientation activities, immersive experiences, and discussions with faculty, the Career Service, and alumni, we help students gain a deeper understanding of the study paths and key career opportunities offered by the Graduate School.
Orientation experiences and resources
Orientation days. Meetings with the Dean, Programme Directors, Faculty, and Alumni to learn about the Graduate educational model, engage with the Luiss community, and explore the career opportunities offered by the various programmes.
Graduate Summer School. An immersive experience that precedes entry to the Graduate School, featuring training activities, networking, and an initial Career Lab focused on developing employability.
Career Lab. During Fresher Week, students meet the Career Service and discover tools, services, and opportunities that will support them throughout their Graduate journey, from building their CV to personal presentation, right up to the selection processes used by organisations.
Throughout the Graduate programme, we support students in developing subject-specific, digital, and transferable skills, helping them to showcase their talent and build a distinctive professional profile.
Experiences and tools for developing skills
Skill Assessment. Through a psychometric assessment, interpreted alongside qualified coaches, we help students identify their strengths, aptitudes, and areas for development, guiding their training and professional path.
Certificates. Specialised courses developed in collaboration with Corporate and Institutional Partners, enabling you to acquire advanced skills through a hands-on approach. Upon completing each course, you'll receive a digital certificate notarised on the blockchain, which you can share on major professional profiles like LinkedIn.
Skill Factory. Extracurricular activities focused on developing the most sought-after transferable skills in the job market. These include AI Training, which explores the use of artificial intelligence in study and work processes through an effective, responsible, and productivity-oriented approach, and Cognitive Training, which strengthens critical thinking, analytical skills, communication, and independent judgement.
Skill Empowerment. Personalised support for preparing your CV, optimising your LinkedIn profile, and practising for job interviews.
Placement opportunities
Career Centre (JobTeaser). The Career Centre platform lets you browse internship and job offers, apply for opportunities, book meetings with career advisors, and take part in Career Service initiatives. Link
One-to-one career meetings / career guidance. One-to-one meetings focused on setting career goals, reviewing your CV and cover letter, and preparing for job interviews. Link
Recruiting Events / Meetings with employers. Recruiting events that facilitate direct interaction between students, recruiters, and partner companies of the Graduate School. Link
Internships. Work placements with national and international organisations, allowing you to apply the skills you've developed during your academic studies in a real-world setting. Link

Career Events. A calendar of meetings focused on learning about key professional sectors, employers, and the skills the market demands.
NextGen Leader Talks. Meetings with business, institutional, and academic leaders focusing on the major changes reshaping the world of work.
Inside Leadership. Conversations with managers and top executives who share their professional experiences, organisational challenges, and leadership models.
Discover Career Series. A series of meetings focusing on key professional sectors (Finance, Consulting, Marketing, Technology, Public Affairs, and others) to explore career opportunities and engage with alumni and professionals.
International Career Experiences. These experiences focus on Europe's leading professional hubs, giving students the chance to engage with international employers and job markets.
International Career Fairs. Participation in international career fairs and recruitment events to meet global employers and apply for internship and entry-level positions.
Company Visits Abroad. Visits to leading international companies and organisations to learn about organisational models, corporate cultures, and professional environments.
Community Building. Activities focused on joining the Alumni community and forging initial professional relationships.
Luiss AroundME. A project that connects international students with professional alumni based in their destination country.
Alumni Mentoring. An opportunity for one-to-one flash mentoring with a Luiss Alumnus or Alumna in your field of interest. Available from September 2027.
Alumni Community. A dedicated platform that lets you connect with active Alumni in Italy and around the world. Available from September 2027.

The Luiss Alumni Network. An international community that connects thousands of Alumni through events, networking, and opportunities for continuing education. Membership is automatic and permanent.
International Chapters. A network of Chapters located in key international professional hubs, fostering dialogue between Alumni and students.
Young Graduates Programmes. Programmes designed for recent graduates to support them in the early stages of their careers through mentoring, leadership development, and networking.

With the Career Service, we support students throughout their academic journey through personalised guidance, career coaching, and professional development. From preparing your CV and LinkedIn profile to one-to-one meetings with Career Advisors, and from mock interviews to recruiting and networking events with partner companies and institutions, every activity is designed to boost students' employability and help them transition into the world of work. The Career Service is the go-to place for university placements, facilitating dialogue between students, employers, and organisations.

We've built an ecosystem that connects students, faculty, the Career Service, corporate and institutional partners, and an international community of alumni. We foster an ongoing dialogue with the world of organisations, creating opportunities for discussion, learning, and networking that extend well beyond the university experience.
