Who can take the Orientation 4 Summer School 2026 Admission Test?

The test is reserved for students who have attended Orientation 4 Summer School, with a maximum of one excused absence as stipulated in the Summer School Regulations, and who:

  • in the 2025/2026 school year, completed the penultimate year of upper secondary school under the Italian system,
  • or will obtain, by July 2027, a qualification valid for enrollment in Italian universities according to the current ministerial guidelines on foreign educational qualifications (see the regulations).

Registering for the Admission Test: How to apply and required documents

Those enrolled in the 2026 Orientation 4 Summer School will receive an email with the necessary instructions and a link to register for the Admission Test.
You must complete your application at least two days before the start of the Summer School week you have registered for.

Please note: the language of the test is binding

During the application process, you will need to indicate the language in which you intend to take the test (Italian or English). This choice is mandatory for the Test and is binding for your enrollment at Luiss if you are admitted:
•    Test in English: If admitted, you can enroll in any course (whether taught in English or Italian).
•    Test in Italian: If admitted, you will only be able to enroll in courses taught in Italian.

On the other hand, your preferred degree program is not binding at this stage.

Test structure and passing the exam

There is only one admission test, regardless of the degree program. The test lasts 75 minutes and consists of 50 multiple-choice questions covering psycho-aptitude, logical reasoning, problem-solving, and mathematics.
Each correct answer will be worth 1 (one) point. Each incorrect answer will incur a penalty of -0.25 (negative point two five), while multiple answers and/or unanswered questions will be scored as 0 (zero).
To be admitted, you must achieve a final score of at least 60 out of 100.
Candidates will be able to view their test results starting at the end of September 2026.

If admitted: booking and finalizing enrollment

After passing the Admission Test, admitted students must reserve their enrollment by November 12, 2026. They will need to select their degree program and pay the first installment, as communicated in September 2026.

To confirm your enrollment, you must complete the registration process by July 2027.

Only pre-registered students have the option to change their degree program or withdraw with a full refund of the first installment by March 5, 2027.

Please note: After March 5, 2027, changes will only be allowed after passing a new selection process, if required for the program you wish to enroll in.

You will need to provide:

  • your personal details;
  • the language of the Test (Italian or English), which will also be binding for any enrollment;
  • indicate the degree program you are interested in.

If you don't reside in Italy and don't have a tax code, you can use this link to generate a provisional tax code.

You will need to upload:

  • a copy of a valid identity document (passport or identity card showing citizenship);
  • if you took the relevant test, the certificate showing you passed the 2025 Test Orientation 3 Summer School for the award of any bonus;
  • any DSA certification (issued after June 2023) or a disability certificate indicating a degree of disability equal to or greater than 66%, to be eligible for the compensatory measures specified by the Commission.

No, passing the English language test is sufficient to access courses in English.

Candidates with a disability exceeding 66% or with learning disabilities must indicate, when registering for the test via the dedicated platform, their desire to use the compensatory measures provided by law within two days of the start of their Summer School week.

Candidates must also upload, by the same deadline, medical documentation issued by accredited medical facilities, dated no earlier than 2023 or after the candidate's 18th birthday. This is to ensure the Committee can provide compensatory measures in time for the admission test.

You may be granted 30% more time—or 50% more in the case of a disability—plus the option to use a non-scientific calculator (which you must provide yourself) or have a tutor-reader present.

After the designated Committee's evaluation, the candidate will receive an email detailing the assigned tools.

Requests submitted after the deadline or via different methods will not be considered.
