Non-EU Students - Admission to Bachelor's and Single-Cycle Master's Degree Programs in Law
Admission for the 2026/2027 academic year is open to students with non-EU and non-Schengen citizenship who wish to enroll in Bachelor’s and Single-Cycle Master’s Degree programs at the Luiss Undergraduate School.
The process is reserved for applicants who hold, or will obtain by July 2026, a diploma valid for enrollment in Italian universities, as per ministerial requirements. This must be accompanied by one of the recognized international certifications (SAT, ACT, or IB) or by completion of the Luiss Test.

Admission requirements for the Undergraduate School for students who are not EU or Schengen citizens
Students with non-EU or non-Schengen citizenship who have obtained, or will obtain by the specified deadlines, a high school diploma valid for admission to Italian universities according to the ministerial requirements are eligible to apply.
To participate in the selection process, you must submit:
- a valid passport or identity document proving citizenship;
- a diploma or, for foreign qualifications, report cards from the last two school years showing grades, the institution’s official stamp, and the final qualification;
- one of the following:
- a minimum SAT score of 1200/1600, obtained within the last 3 years;
- ACT score of at least 25/36, obtained within the last 3 years;
- IB Diploma or predicted grade of at least 36/45;
- alternatively, the Luiss Test for non-EU/non-Schengen students, to be taken online during the scheduled times on March 18 or 19, 2026.
A language proficiency certificate is also required:
- a minimum B2 CEFR level in English for courses taught in English,
- a minimum B2 CEFR level in Italian for courses taught in Italian.
Deadlines and how to submit your application
The application for admission must be submitted exclusively online by March 16, 2026, via the dedicated platform available at the following link.
To complete the application, you'll need to pay a non-refundable fee of 150.00 euros via the online platform by March 16, 2026.
During the process, the candidate must specify the chosen degree program. The choice is binding and can only be changed until March 16, 2026.
Applications that are incomplete or do not meet the requirements will be excluded.
Available Degree Programs
Students can choose one of the following degree programs:
- Programs taught in Italian: Economics and Management, Law, and Political Science.
- Programs taught in English: Business Administration, Economics and Business, Global Law, Management and Artificial Intelligence, and Politics: Philosophy and Economics.

Admission, reservation, and enrollment
Admission or non-admission to each degree program will be determined by the Committee, which makes its decision at its sole discretion, taking into account:
- scores from certifications (SAT, ACT, IB) or from the Luiss Test;
- documentation submitted in support of the application;
- the outcome of any assessment interview.
Additional points may be awarded to those who have attended the Luiss Foundation Programme, as outlined in the Call for Applications.
The results will be published on the University's website and are provisional until the documents are verified. For applicants with an IB predicted grade, admission is confirmed only if the final grade is equal to or higher than the declared grade.
Admission will also be communicated via email in March 2026 and will be confirmed only after the submitted documentation and the validity of the secondary school diploma for admission to Italian universities have been verified.
Admitted students must reserve their enrollment by April 22, 2026, by paying the fee of 4,700.00 euros, which is the first installment of the annual Single Contribution. Enrollment must be finalized by July 22, 2026. If you don’t reserve your spot within the specified timeframe, your admission will automatically expire.
Foreign educational credentials
For foreign educational credentials, admission is contingent upon submitting the documentation requested by the Admissions Office, which is necessary to verify eligibility under current Italian law.
If the documentation is not compliant or is not submitted by the specified deadline, enrollment cannot be finalized, even if the applicant was previously admitted. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure their diploma is valid for admission to Italian universities and, if necessary, to obtain a student visa.
FAQ
You can apply for admission to this selection process if you meet the following conditions:
- you are a citizen of a country outside the EU and the Schengen Area;
- You will take, by July 2026, the final exams to obtain a secondary school diploma valid for admission to universities in Italy (see the admission requirements here), or you already hold a secondary school diploma.
- Valid ID and/or passport showing citizenship (FAQ or drop-down menu)
Please note that the Admissions Office will verify the citizenship requirement after the application is submitted, and any ineligible applications will be automatically excluded.
One of the certifications required to participate in the selection process:
- SAT certification with a minimum score of 1200/1600. Please note that your application will only be processed if the SAT certificate can be verified directly through the College Board platform. You can request that it be sent to Luiss using the identification code 7055;
- ACT certification with a minimum score of 25/36. Please note that your application will only be processed if the ACT certificate can be verified directly through the ACT platform.
You can request that it be sent to Luiss using the identification code 3019. IB Diploma or predicted IB with a minimum score of 36/45. Remember that once you receive your final diploma, you'll need to submit it from the IBO platform using the Luiss identification code: 002563.
We also remind you that, if you are admitted with a predicted grade, your final IB score must be equal to or higher than the score you declared when submitting your application.
Otherwise, even if you are admitted and subsequently reserve your enrollment, you will not be able to proceed with final enrollment.- The Luiss test is to be taken online according to the deadlines and procedures that will be announced on the University’s website.
- English language proficiency: a minimum level of B2 on the CEFR, demonstrated by a certificate issued within the last three years by an institution recognized by the MUR or listed on the University's website. Alternatively, completion of a school program conducted entirely in English, with explicit mention of this.
For students with foreign diplomas only: Report cards from the last two years of secondary school. If you hold a foreign diploma, to correctly fill out the admission application, you must submit report cards from the last two years of school. These should include grades, the corresponding school year, the year of enrollment, and the final qualification with its official stamp. The report cards serve solely to verify the validity of the qualification and, if issued in a language other than English, French, or Italian, must be accompanied by a certified translation.
In any case, to ensure the validity of your foreign diploma, you must refer to the criteria established annually by the MUR and defined by the University on the following page.
You can apply for admission to either the three-year Bachelor's Degree or the single-cycle Master's Degree in Law by filling out the application form available at the following link no later than March 16, 2026, and making a binding selection of the degree program.
Please note that to complete your admission application, you'll need to pay a fee of 150.00 euros. This payment can be made directly online while filling out the application (in the “Actions” section) by March 16, 2026. The application fee paid is non-refundable under any circumstances.
HELPFUL TIPS!
When filling out your application, be sure to provide an email address that you’ll have access to throughout the entire selection process. Keep a close eye on it, as all communications regarding your admission application will be sent to that email address.
You can request to modify your submitted application only by March 16, 2026, by emailing the Admissions Office (ammissione@luiss.it). Once the request is received, the Admissions Office will contact you with all the instructions you need to access the platform and edit the information yourself. After that date, the chosen degree program will be binding for the preparation of results and any subsequent enrollment.
Please note: The Admissions Office may ask you to modify your application or update the attached documents, even after verification. Therefore, keep a close eye on your email!
The results will be published in March 2026. Admission will be determined by the score obtained in the certifications submitted for participation in the selection process, or by the result of the test and any interview, in accordance with the criteria outlined in the Competition Notice.

Additionally, if you are admitted based on your IB score, your enrollment will be contingent upon confirming that your final grade matches the one you declared during the admission process.
HELPFUL TIPS!
If the submitted documentation does not comply with the ministerial guidelines for the comparability of qualifications or with the deadlines for document submission, enrollment will not be permitted under any circumstances, regardless of admission. For this reason, we recommend that you carefully review the requirements for your diploma here.

If you’ve been selected and are admitted, you can proceed to the next step by reserving your enrollment no later than April 22, 2026. To do this, as outlined in the Competition Notice, you'll need to pay the €4,700.00 fee by logging into Luiss Web Self Service and following the instructions that will be available online after the results are announced.
Please note: The deadline for booking enrollment is April 22, 2026, and it cannot be extended. Any request to reserve enrollment received after these deadlines, as specified in the Competition Notice, will not be considered. In fact, it will not be possible under any circumstances to regularize the enrollment reservation after the deadline, even by paying a penalty.
Finally, we remind you that after reserving your enrollment and obtaining your high school diploma, you must complete your enrollment no later than July 22, 2026 .

Carefully check the deadlines and contact the Admissions Office at ammissione@luiss.it in good time if you need support. If you are applying to multiple universities at the same time, it is your responsibility to ensure that the terms and deadlines align with what is stated on this page and in the Competition Notice.
The single tuition fee for all Bachelor’s and Master’s in Law programs for the 2026/2027 academic year is 14,000.00 euros. Only those who have successfully reserved their enrollment (by April 22, 2026) and hold a valid high school diploma for admission to Italian universities will be able to finalize their enrollment by July 22, 2026, at the latest.
Candidates with a disability exceeding 66% or with learning disabilities must indicate their desire to use the compensatory measures provided by law when registering for the Test via the dedicated platform by February 16, 2026.
Candidates must also upload medical documentation issued by accredited medical facilities on or after 2023, or after they turned 18, so that the Commission can provide compensatory measures in time for the admission test.
The following accommodations may be provided: 30% or 50% additional time for candidates with disabilities, the use of a non-scientific calculator, or the presence of a tutor-reader. After the Commission's review, the candidate will be notified of the assigned accommodations. Requests submitted after the deadline or via other methods will not be considered.
