The Double Degree in International Affairs with Sciences Po Bordeaux offers students a unique chance to develop analytical and methodical skills in the field of international politics with focus on themes such as EU security, migration, gender studies, international law and international economy.
The school is located in the heart of an exceptional university site, the Pessac-Talence-Gradignan campus, and 20 minutes from the center of Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage city. The school is located in the heart of an exceptional university site, the Pessac-Talence-Gradignan campus, and 20 minutes from the center of Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage city. Science Po Bordeaux is an international university and one of the main research centers for political science in France.
The program is structured as follows:
- the first year is carried out at Luiss (Rome);
- the second year is carried out in Bordeaux.
Students selected for the Double Degree will be registered at Luiss during their time at Science Po Bordeaux and will continue to pay tuition fees at Luiss. Students will be exempted from paying tuition fees at Science Po Bordeaux.
If compliant with both universities’ rules and conditions, as for credits envisaged, attendance, deadlines, academic integrity, etc., participating students will receive two degrees, which will be issued according to each university’s procedures.

Who can apply
Students enrolled in the first year of the Luiss Master's Degree in International Relations can apply for this program.

For the mobility year 2026-2027 there will be 7 available slots for this program.
Requirements (updated for the mobility year 2026-2027)
Candidates for this program should have the following requirements:
- Weighted average grade equal to or above 27/30
- Students are required to have passed all 1st semester exams by the deadline indicated in the Call for Applications (usually by mid February)
- As for English, students must possess at least a C1 level (European Framework of Reference), to be proved by one of the following certifications:
- Cambridge: CPE; FCE min. grade A; CAE grade B/C;
- IELTS min. 7.0;
- TOEFL iBT equal or above 91/120 IBT;
- Duolingo min. 130;
- Luiss Language Center;
- Accademia linguistica Trinity School di Roma;
- Bachelor's Degree entirely taught in English;
- International Secondary School Diploma entirely taught in English
Students who are selected for a Double Degree program have to respect the relevant study plan. They need to accept all the changes listed in the study plan, especially with reference to the languages and other activities.
Selection Criteria
Eligible candidates will be ranked based on the academic performance and the criteria included in the table below. The academic performance is assessed based on the data available to the Student Office by the deadline indicated in the Call for Applications (usually mid-February).
