LLM Educational Program in partnership with Radboud University
Highlights
The program provides a solid, international foundation in International and European Law, offering students the chance to choose one of the following specializations:
- European Law and Global Affairs
- Advanced International and European Law
- Business Law
- Human Rights and Migration
The program aims to recruit ambitious and motivated students, offering them the chance to learn in an exciting environment at one of the top 30 research institutes in Europe, as recognized by the European Research Council.
The program requires tuition payment.
In addition to tuition fees at Luiss, tuition payable to Radboud University for the 2026–2027 academic year is €2,700 for EU students.
Please note that tuition does not cover living expenses. Students are responsible for covering the costs of housing and meals.

Who can apply
Students enrolled in the fourth year of the single-cycle Master’s degree program in Law can apply to this program. Depending on their major, students can apply for an LLM in International and European Law:
• International and European Law Advanced track, open to students majoring in International Law
• European Law and Global Affairs track, open to students majoring in International Law or European Law
• Business Law track, open to students majoring in Corporate and Tax Law, Business Law and Economics, Civil Law, or Administrative Law
• Human Rights and Migration track, open to students majoring in Criminal Law, Administrative Law, International Law, or European Law

Each year, a total of 6 students can participate in the program.
Application Process
The Call for Applications will be published in early December 2025, and students will be able to apply starting January 8, 2026. Further information on the deadlines is provided in the table below. Candidates for this program should meet the following requirements:
- Have earned a minimum of 180 ECTS
- Have a weighted average grade of 27/30 or higher
- English language:
• TOEFL iBT (note: not the home edition): with an overall score of at least 90 and all sub-scores of at least 22
• IELTS Academic: minimum overall score of 6.5, with a minimum score of 6.0 for the listening, reading, and speaking components, and a minimum of 6.5 for writing (not the home edition)
• Cambridge C1 Advanced, with an overall score > 176, subscores > 169, and a writing score > 176
• Cambridge C2 Proficiency, with an overall score >180, subscores > 169, and a writing score > 176
Language certificates must not be older than two years from the start of the mobility period (August/September 2026). Applicants must meet the requirements with a single test.
Selection Process
Luiss will select a shortlist of candidates based on a non-disputable evaluation of the student's academic profile and motivation. Radboud will then select the candidates from the shortlist and communicate the results to Luiss in due time, allowing students to register for the program.

Selection Criteria
The selection process involves three steps:
| Step 1 | Eligible candidates will be ranked based on their academic performance, with credits accounting for 53%, internship credits for 2%, and their weighted average grade for 45%. |
| Step 2 | An interview will focus on the candidate's motivation, academic background, and previous international or professional experiences. |
| Step 3 | The partner universities, after analyzing the Luiss Commission ranking and the candidates’ dossiers, have the right to confirm the final ranking. |
