The survey on the professional integration of graduates is now in its eighteenth edition. Over the years, the University has solidified its ongoing monitoring of graduates’ employment and professional outcomes, tracking their progress over time.

The 2022 survey targeted Luiss master’s graduates who earned their degrees in 2016, 2018, and 2020, interviewed five, three, and one year after graduation, respectively. The decision was made not to interview Bachelor of Science graduates, as over 90% of them continue their studies after graduation (either at Luiss or elsewhere). The questionnaire, available in Italian and English, was administered via telephone interview and online.

The questionnaire aims to gather information on the following: any post-graduation studies, current employment status, job search methods, job satisfaction and how well the job aligns with education, work experiences, and some details about the family of origin.

• Overall, the employment rate (calculated based on the labor force) for Luiss graduates surveyed one year after graduation is 94%, with peaks of 96% for the Faculties of Economics. For graduates 3 and 5 years after graduation, the figure rises to 96% and 98%, respectively.
• The average wait time between graduation and landing your first job is 2 months. One-third of employed graduates already had a job offer before graduating.
• Luiss graduates are primarily employed in consulting (20.0%), the legal field (19.1%), and administration, finance, and control (18.5%).

• Luiss graduates primarily found employment through unsolicited applications (18%), followed by personal or family connections (15%) and university channels like the Career Service (13%).
• Graduates report high satisfaction with their jobs. In particular, satisfaction with the tasks performed, job stability and/or security, and the application of knowledge acquired at the university receive overall ratings between 7 and 8 (on a scale of 1 to 10).
• Nine out of ten graduates interviewed would enroll at Luiss again.
