Board of Directors Programme

Becoming a Board Member | 2026 Edition

Luiss invites Erasmus/Exchange university students to take part in the Board of Directors Programme, an immersive experiential learning programme designed to explore the dynamics of a board of directors within a company. Through interactive lessons, case studies, and an immersive simulation, participants will gain insight into how strategic decisions are made at the top of a company.

Project structure

The Programme is structured in two main phases:

  • In the first phase, participants will engage in specialised lessons designed to map the complexities of corporate governance. Key pillars will be explored in depth, including governance mechanisms, ownership structures, and the evolving dynamics between shareholders and stakeholders. The academic programme is further enhanced by a strategic partnership with Mercer

  • The second phase marks the transition from theory to practice through the discussion of case studies and an immersive simulation. By critically examining key case studies, students will analyse systemic failures and leadership challenges that can affect large corporations. By taking on the role of board members, participants will gain hands-on experience in the field, applying their analytical tools and diplomatic skills to reach concrete, shared decisions at the top of corporate governance. The simulation will be conducted in partnership with Mercer

Take your place at the table.

Step into the world of strategic leadership.
